Training Workshops

Training New Trainers’ is a three-day workshop held from the 14th-16th of August, just prior to the AMSA Global Health Conference (GHC), in Adelaide. This workshop, brought to you by AMSA Global Health and the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA), is aimed at empowering participants who want to become further involved in Global Health.

This year’s theme is

Learn.

Act.

Inspire.

Thirty medical students from Australia and New Zealand will gather at Kudjit Café, an Indigenous owned venue, to be equipped with the skills needed to train others in global health and professional development topics. Inspiring leaders in a variety of fields will head challenging global health conversations, while peer-led workshops will provide training on the abilities needed to be an effective advocate such as campaigning, policy writing, leadership, event management and strategic planning. Attendees have the opportunity to connect with other passionate individuals from Australiasia and network with a range of empowered global health leaders. Participants will also present at least one workshop to their university Global Health Group in order to graduate as an IFMSA Trainer.

An outline of the program will be available shortly.
